Observation Be
Hello everybody. After some time spent waiting for a time to allow us to play with ghosts, I finally had the opportunity to observe a star and derive the spectrum of her. The star is the 48 Lib class B5IIIp_sh. Already on the star class there would be a lot to say. If I find the time to play the ...

Starex
Hello everybody. As soon as the weather allowed it and while working from the balcony of the house I threw myself headlong on the shot of the star HD 89884 which is located in the constellation of Hydra. This time I tried to take a star of mag 8-9 but in the portion of the sky that I find myself I ...

Re: spectra from LowSpec
After having properly set up the spectroscope and having changed the lattice from 600 to 1200, I enjoyed processing the spectrum of the star Omi Aqr. The processed area is that of the hydrogen Halfa. The one on which professionals, as far as I know, study the most.

spectra from LowSpec
Hello to all. After some time setting the 1200 grating with the spectroscope and taking advantage of the respite that time has given, I have elaborated the star Omi Aqr. This is a Be star with an interesting Halfa line profile featuring 2 peaks with a central absorption. I have to say my weak point ...

Re: Experience with UVEX3
Hi everyone. I tried to calculate the limiting magnitude of my instrumentation with UVEX. I have a problem with the version of ISIS V5.9.4 because it does not recognize me some commands of the "command line". How can I solve?

Re: Experience with UVEX3
In these difficult times, the only entertainment we can afford is observation. The last spectrum that I have elaborated is the star HD89884. It is, as always, a Be star whose obtained profile has an R = 807 and a dispersion of about 4.16 A / pixel. Simbad gives for this star a magnitude V = 7.13 ...

Re: Experience with UVEX3
Also from the balcony of the house I observed the star HD76868, placed the spectral profile.

Re: Experience with UVEX3
I'm doing other spectra in this wavelength range. I'm not sure that the Relco lamps I use allow me to calibrate even on blue. Soon I will try.

Re: Experience with UVEX3
Given the rather good weather in my part, I have developed two other spectra of the stars HD 91120 and HD 79066. I place the two profiles for sharing.

Re: Experience with UVEX3
Hi Hamish. Previously I forgot to attach a frame of the Relco lamps used for calibration positioned on the inner circumference of the lens hood. Here I used a time of 120s.
