Re: QR Vul
Hello, As seen in the ARASBeAm extract below, the outburst occured within couple of months. So the observing frequency currently set at 90days seems too low. Certainly should be increased at 30d or even 15d ? Of course, as soon as we do it... the next outburst will certainly wait ten years from now....

Re: eps Aur's PI
Benji, well... I continue my answers but I'm glad there are only a few campaigns at the moment! :-) Robin Leadbeater is coordinating the amateur spectroscopy campaign and he recently published the stats: more than 800 spectra collected! Plus some from professional observatories he has access too. Th...

Re: P Cygni's PI
Benji, are you asking the same question for all objects? :-) Yes, Omar Stahl in Germany (Heidelberg observatory I believe) is collecting the spectra and publications have already been published using amateur contribution and I can predict more will be done in the future... this star, of a particular...

Re: QR Vul
Benji, QR Vul is a Be star and the best is to upload your spectra in BeSS database: http://basebe.obspm.fr/ From time to time, several professional astronomers take some spectra from the database to do a publication (see list of references as exemples). Otherwise, Be star is a long term (about 10 ye...

Re: Some general project information
Ernst,
interesting. Do you have a link (or post a PDF version there) of your talk you made at OHP about VV Cep ?
Cordialement,

Re: "Latest posts" list ?
Robin, on top of the forum, you have the choice: -consult messages without response -consult unread messages (this is the one I personally use) -consult new messages (this is equivalent to what you are asking for) -consult your messages I hope this helps. Agreed we need a "general discussion&qu...

Re: The HeI6678 line in P Cyg
Ernst, Excellent result. I had trouble to view the image but right-clicking on them and selecting "display image" allowed me to see the very nice periodic graphs. I would be interested to understand what phenomenon is creating this behaviour. Are those k-mechanisms similar to what is seen ...

HD 176630
Based on Juan Guarro latest observation (from Spectro-L ), HD 176630 is now in outburst. A double emission over an absorption line was visible in 2007 but not in 2001, 2009 and 2010. It seems worthwhile to monitor this star more frequently than one spectrum per year! ARASBeAm link: http://arasbeam.f...
