Re: T CrB before its new nova event

A high-resolution Star'Ex spectrum (R=19 000) made on June 13th from Antibes and like Guillaume B, using a small diameter, here an 80 mm Askar scope (model PHQ), all on an AM5 mount, and managed via ASIAir (except for the spectra storagel under Prism): http://www.astrosurf.com/buil/forum28/_tcrb_202...

Re: fits-keywords for STAROS database and SpcAudace

The next update will offer greater flexibility. For example, BESS_ESPR will be optional. Please note, however, that it is primarily up to the software designers to ensure that the data produced is as compatible as possible with the analysis applications (BESS, STAROS, ...), and not the other way rou...

Re: Test new configuration

It is indeed an artifact in one of the images of your spectrum (a badly corrected hot spot ?). It is not critical at all. Look at your 5 images one by one and you may find the origin. It is very easy to see that this is not a real line: the thinnest physical lines that can be observed are the tellur...

STAROS spectral data base

I announce the official launch of the STAROS public spectral database: https://staros-projects.org STAROS is a database whose originality is to address observation campaigns on an object at a time and for a limited time. For example, an observation project can be opened to follow the news (nova expl...

Re: La spectrographie 2.0

Joan, Your questions are interesting and normal. My goal here is mainly to draw the attention of observers who use equipment that is not necessarily very expensive, but efficient, because it corresponds to the new technology. This is the case of astrophotographers: it doesn't take much to be able to...
