Hi David
I made some instructions for using Isis some years ago but the place I put it on the web no longer exists. It was made for a LISA but the process is very similar for any low resolution spectrograph.
I have saved a pdf version to dropbox that should be available here

Blazar PKS 1424-414 (z=1.522) brightening
Hi All
There was a recent ATel #15525 reporting a brightening of this very distant object up to a mag of R=13.4
I tried to take a spectrum of it using my LISA. It is pretty dim but I could certainly obtained a spectrum. It seems pretty flat but because of the high redshift it is difficult for me to ...

Re: gaia22bxd possible new Be Star?
I have also taken a spectra of this star. It is also known as HD124791 and is catalogued as a B8II C on SIMBAD. It certainly seems to be a B star and it has some weak He lines. I can only identify H emission at Ha.

Re: Recurrent nova U Sco in eruption
I have taken just 2 spectra of this as the weather hasn't been great. It has dimmed a lot and is now about mag 13. This means the S/N was low for the second spectrum. Taken with my LISA at R=1500

I have now also joined the group and took a spectrum last night. Taken with my LISA R=1500

Re: Recurrent nova U Sco in eruption
I took a spectra last night with my LISA R~1500. The weather is very poor at present so follow up spectra is a bit hit and miss.
Very wide emissions at over 4000 km/s

Re: Nova in Vela AT2022bpq/Gaia22alz
Hi All
I have no been able to take any spectra for ages due to persitent bad weather. It cleared somewhat last night and I was able to take 30 mins of AT2022bqp.
I don't have any earlier spectra to compare it too but it doesn't seem to have changed a lot compared to the posts on the thread.

Re: GAIA transient GAIA21dxg / TNS AT2021wui
This star has continued to become brighter but is very low in the west now.
I took a spectrum last night when it was only about 14deg above the horizon. As a result the continuum is not properly corrected as I don't have a suitable comparison star at that low altitude. Despite this it seems that ...

Hi Pete
You have observed this before on 4/10/20 and it seems very similar.
