Dear all,
Last year in France I took spectra of HD290380 because of an AASVO alert concerning an eclipse by a planet/brown dwarf.
Only last evening I could take another one...... the green one is last year.

The SNR is very low (magnitude>10) but the difference is obvious!

HD57682 emission event
Hi all,
On the 4th of jan I had the luck of capturing an emission event on HD57682.
There is a request for spectra for BeSS - the observation period has been changed to 6 days!
Cheers Arnold

Re: reading 1D fits files
Great Tim!
Much appreciated
and thanks for sharing your code. Although I will be using vb, this will certainly help!
Btw, in my program I added:
If NAXIS>1 message "not a 1D spectrum" to avoid loading a 2D fits file
Regards Arnold
Much appreciated

reading 1D fits files
Hello all,
At the moment I am busy making a program to model line (Hα) profiles....
Can anybody tell me how to read a 1D fit(s) file in VB?
Now I am using the .dat files generated by ISIS, but it would be nice to be able to read the .fit.
Regards Arnold

Hello from Arnold de Bruin in the Netherlands
Hello everybody,
My name is Arnold de Bruin. I have been busy (off and on that is ;-) ) with astronomy for almost twenty years and since two years really found my "thing" with spectroscopy. I do have the SA100 and SA200 but more or less dived in buying the L200 when I discovered it was being build ...
