Hi Hamish
I’m currently taking a spectra with my LISA and V images also. I’ll post it here later.

Nova Sgr 2020 No 4
A new nova in Sgr that is currently mag V=10.77
I have taken 2 spectra of it so far with my LISA.
Lots of change over 2 days.

First Spectra from my new UVEX
Hi All I have built a UVEX spectrograph. I purchased a 600l/mm and 1200 l/mm grating but have only installed the 1200 so far. I had to modify the design somewhat as I did not want to buy a new slit so am using a slit that was designed for my LISA. I had it spare as I had replaced it with a photometr...

Re: AAVSO free spectroscopy webinar!
This would be very good but 04:00 local time is a bit difficult.
Will it be recorded?

Re: Suspected/Misclassified Symbiotics: spectra required
Hi
I have taken spectra of EC19249-7343 and V618 Sgr.
V618 Sgr seems to have NaI emission and a very weak Ha emission.

How did you modify the slit holder to take the photometric slit?
I have a spare LISA slit but it is much larger than the holder. I may make a holder out of aluminium to accommodate the larger slit.

Hi
I have also taken a spectra of Hen 3-860 or WRAY 15-1062 as it came up on Simbad.
It is clearly a symbiotic star.

Spectra from last night. Very wide features. taken with my LISA and LOSPEC giving 2 different resolutions R=1800 and R=4000.

I will hopefully be able to obtain spectra of the 2 southern stars but the weather needs to improve first.

Re: possible black hole binary/ternary system in ArasBeAm
Hi Hamish This could be an interesting star to follow. I have taken spectra of it before at Ha, but Ha is not much good to measure the RV fo this star . He I 6678 is easy to image and seems to give good measurements. This is another link to the paper. https://www.eso.org/public/archives/releases/sci...
