Re: UVEX --> UV

Bonjour Pierre.

Cdlt,
Ibrahima.

Re: UVEX by Shelyak Instruments

Cordialement,
Ibrahima.

Re: LHiResIII - Ne-calibration lines

Hi all. To Eric. Using FWHM of Ne Lines and PSF function of ISIS is a quick and easy way to focus the Camera on the doublet lens. I use this method almost each night (because I frequently change the grating), and most of the time, I obtain resolution around 14000 in H-alpha region with 2400 grating....

Re: UVEX Collimation

Dear Tom. What is the F/D of the telescope you use with your UVEX? Christian explains here http://www.astrosurf.com/buil/UVEX_project/ (section 5.3) that the size of the sharpness area decreases with the F/D number of the telescope. Your spectra looks in some aspects like that shown by Christian wit...

Re: UVEX3 N2

Hi Tom. Thanks for the test and feedback. The results you obtain are very encouraging. I guess that you have used small exposure time for your measurements. Would the ADU excess limit (35 ADU in your test) be larger if you consider long exposure times (300 sec or 600 sec) as we usually do in spectro...

Re: UVEX 3 : PET-G Fibre de carbone

Bonjour.

Re: UVEX3 N2

I've just received my printed UVEX parts from a commercial 3D printing and fabrication house (using laser sintering in nylon PA12, which has much better properties than more common nylon 6). It's not a cheap method, but the parts are very, very rigid, with a nice smooth finish. I have difficulty be...

Re: Help Realigning Lhires III

Dear Albert. I think your spectra is croped because the calibration lamp is not exactly in front of the slit. On the LHIRES I use, the lamp sometimes does not stay fixed in front of the slit (the button used to position the lamp is slightly defective). As a result, I obtain neon spectra similar to t...

Re: About evaluation of instrument response

Bonjour Christian.
