Wavelength Calibration Relco

Hi,

I propose an exchange about the calibration of ALPY600, LISA, and other low resolution spectroscopes with the Relco lamp.

1. Spectroscope
2. List of lines you are using
3. Degree of the polynome

Re: How to measure intensity of emission lines in low resolu

Hi Sam,

Could you send me the spectrum (fits).
I'll look at it and say you.

Re: T CrB before its new nova event

Yes, the spectrum returns to the pre-high state aspect: the continuum is dominated by the M4 III red giant. The emission lines becomes fainter (even if He II and He I are still present) During the two last months, the EW grew a little bit according to orbital phase. But the global trend is decline. ...

Re: T CrB before its new nova event

Good! The campaign is restarted after the (too long) seasonal gap The last spectra show a fast decline of He II line toward 0 in low resolution spectra and very faint in echelle spectra. This sudden fading after a long decrease could be a clue of the entrance of the system in the last phase before t...

Re: R Aqr Eclipse - Monitoring requested

Probably echelle spectrum will be very difficult due to the low luminosity and the position of the target in the morning sky. The emission will have a correct SNR, but if the SNR of the continuum is low, the uncertainty of the EW will be high. Alpy spectrum will provide more robust result I thgink. ...

R Aqr Monitoring requested in support to HST observations

The Mira Symbiotic R Aqr, is still in a peculiar state. The absorption in B and V band remains strong. Margarita Karovska continues the study of the target and obtained observation time with HST scheduled May 5-8 2023 . She requests spectrocopic observations in visual range during and around the HST...

Excellent

The page in the database:

with the spectra secured by 2SPOT and Sean Curry.

Monitoring as far as possible is encouraged
