Hi

Here are the results of my attempts at AG Dra and calibrating using ISIS (still on learning curve with the software). Using my C9.25 @f6.3 and ALPY 600 with 23um slit and 314L I captured first set of 4x300sec on the night of the 23rd April and again another set of 3x300sec last night, used the calibration module to collect flats and darks and Ar/Neon lines.
No Instrument Response correction carried out at this stage.

Regards
Alun

Hi Alun,

It looks correct. Congratulations!
Next step : intrumental/atmospheric response (not the easiest!)

All the best,
François Teyssier

Hi Francois,

Thank you, looking at Cartes Du Ciel map I have found an A3 star reasonably near to AG Dra (HD143933) so next clear session I get I will use it as my reference
star.

Best Regards
Alun

Hi Alun,

To find a good reference star you can use the spreadsheet of François :
http://www.astronomie-amateur.fr/Docume ... inder.xlsm

Actually, for AG Dra I use HD 155763, a B6III in Miles database

Hi Olivier,

Thank you for the spreadsheet, will make good use of that.

HD 155763 will be a much better choice being a lot brighter at magnitude 3 compared to magnitude 8 for the star I'd chosen so,again, thank you for the tip.

Best Regards
Alun
