Anti-blooming camera.

Hello.
.
Here goes another doubt.
I have a question about the Atik cameras that Shelyak reccommends.
I have not been able to find it in the specifications but if i am not wrong those are anti-blooming cameras.

I have been doing CCD photometry of CV stars for a few years and i always thought that anti-blooming cameras are not a good choice. With them you may not know if the star is saturating the pixels.
Is it not the same with spectroscopy? Would not be a better choice a NABG (non anti-blooming) camera?

Thanks.

Hi David,

The ATIK cameras are fine for photometry. ATIK set up the gain so the ADC saturates before the charge wells.
See this reference for example
