bonsoir
http://basebe.obspm.fr/basebe/BeSS/Send ... ids=116651
la faiblesse de la 383 dans le bleu?

Re: Be or not Be?
Hi Gerard,
It could be right. There is a high Interstellar extinction in that direction. E(B-V) = ~1.2

Also check that none of your spectrum images are saturated (in the reference star or in the target)
Cheers
Robin

Re: Be or not Be?
You can also use ISIS to see what your spectrum would look like without IS

This is what a B2iv spectrum (pickles) looks like with 1.2 IS redenning

Re: Be or not Be?
Thank you Robin!
I did not know this aspect of spectrometry
actually, applying the average rate (1.1134), the profile changes
and comparing with a B2III
remains this bump that appeals to me
I advance
cordially

Re: Be or not Be?
Hi Etienne,
(The extinction from the NASA page is the total extinction in this direction to outside the milky way so this is the maximum possible extinction. We do not actually know the exact extinction to the star which will depend on the distance and where the dust is)
Cheers
Robin
No, just submit the spectrum as measured at the top of our atmosphere (ie just corrected for our atmosphere.) The IS extinction correction was just to explain why the spectrum is a strange shape.etienne bertrand wrote:Est ce qu'il faut corriger ce rougissement pour mettre les Be dans la base Arasbeam ? Re: Be or not Be?

Re: Be or not Be?
