Hello from Reading, UK

Post by John Paraskeva »

I am John Paraskeva from Reading in the UK.

I have been interested in Astronomical Spectroscopy for a many years. My day job is an IT consultant and I am the author of the free BASS Project software, (See https://uk.groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/astrobodger/info ). I also experiment (and sometimes get frustrated with) building DIY spectrometers with limited hand tools. I am looking to make spectroscopy more accessible, where possible while learning as I go along.

Telescopes: 8" F5 newtonian, 10" F10 Meade LX6 (restoration project) and 5" DIY F5.5 Achromat.
Mounts: NEQ6, EG5. Cameras: Atik 314L Mono, Orion G3 Mono, Canon 1000D (all IR filters removed) and QHY5.

Best Regards
John
