Hi,
My name is Radu Gherase and I have many years of experience as an amateur astronomer, with many collaborations with professionals (yet I am still young at 34 y.o. ).
Although I live and work in Bucharest, I have constructed my private automated observatory Stardreams L16 in a small town called Valenii de munte in a low light pollution area near the mountains so I can maximize the usage of my current observational equipment:
Astro-Tech 8 inch RC
Meade 80 f/6 APO refractor with Astro-Tech field flattener
Atik 314L+ mono as primary imaging camera
Canon 400D modified for astronomy as secondary imaging camera
DMK 21AU04.AS as primary guide camera (or used for imaging the planets)
Phillips Toucam SC modified with b/w sensor (ICX098BL) + peltier and radiator as secondary guide camera
Imaging LRGB, Photometric UBVRI filters
Alpy 600 spectroscope (with guiding module and 23 um slit)
Star Analyzer 100 grating
NEQ6 Pro Goto mount
I am fascinated by the stars and I find spectroscopy particularly interesting (and challenging).
I hope to quickly improve my knowledge and observing techniques and share with you the results!
Best regards,
Radu

Hello Radu, welcome on ARAS forum! Who writes to you is a spectroscopy enthusiast since a few years. I learned a lot here, you'll find fantastic people that will help you to do best using your equipment. Alpy 600 is an excellent low-res spectrograph, perfect if you'll use it under a dark sky!
