V Sge, HM Sge, St HA 169 and more...

Post by Francisco Campos »

Hello to everybody,

here are some results taken with the newton 8" and the DADOS, after a couple of clear nights. Although V Sge is not included in the symbiotics program, I remember this star from the very far nights of visual observing... and the spectrum is very different if we compare it with other symbiotics like AG Peg or T CrB. It remembers more a nova-like very advanced nebular phase (but the [O III] is missing!).

HM Sge... although it is quite faint for my 8", the spectrum recorded is spectacular and full of emission lines. It would be a nice job if I try to identify all these lines. Some are easy, of course. The others... well, we will see.

St HA 169... I programmed the telescope to take many spectra because it is very faint, but a problem guiding only avoided me to take two spectra. Well, maybe next time...

Greetings
Fran

Nice spectra !

V Sge is a very interesting target
A daily coverage for at least 40 days should be interesting

For symbiotic nova HM Sge, use planetary nebulae list
For instance : http://www.astronomie-amateur.fr/Docume ... es_col.pdf

François

Currently on V Sge with Eshel ... not easy !
