P Cygni

Post by Rainer Ehlert »

Hi,

Tried my Luck yesterday with this star. It is a stacked image of 20 subexposures each with 120s. Taken with the LISA on an AstroTech 8" RC reduced to f/5.

Is it correct ? I can only Identify the H-Balmer lines. Are there some He lines too ? Also if I compare my profile with a pro reference file B2i then at the blue end it is totally different. Is this OK ? I used Sadr in order to get my CCD response.

My dispersion is 2.952A/px

Thanks for looking and comments are welcome.

Hi Rainer,

Good shot !
It seems correct (I don't know for wavelenghts under 4000 angströms)
For more precise comment, giev us a link to dat or fit spectrum

Of course, you have several HeI lines
You'll find line identification :

Stahl & al. (1993)

Markova & Zamanov (1995)
