The ASAS-SN team report a possible supernova ASASSN-20jq/ AT2020qxp in NGC 5002 (12Mpc)

https://wis-tns.weizmann.ac.il/object/2020qxp

It is currently mag 16.8 and yet to be classified but a type Ia would be expected to reach ~mag 11 excluding extinction at this distance so one to watch!

Confirmed as a Ia, now reported ~14.5 (Odd Trondal on ISN_chat)

Also Ia SN 2020rcq in at a similar distance in UGC 6930 on the rise, currently ~13.4
