(intéressent de voir sur image souillée 0 65526 et/ou histogramme du dark).

J'ai des points chauds que j'arrive à enlever via le fichier cosmétique.
Ok je t'envoie des images...

Interesting to learn how the eShels work, hope we can compare our dataset soon.
I decided to follow the HeII 4686 / N III region, a fresh result from yesterday (2 x 1200, 4 x 1200, 4 x 1200 s, R~8600):

vend47.gif (39.17 KiB) Viewed 12225 times
The N III 4634 feature has changed a bit, and the He II 4686 velocity profile moved the most in this region.

Hello all,

I obtained the following spectrum last night, August 18 at 21 h 29 TU with a resolution of 509 (JJ = 2458349.4237) and an acquisition time of 75 min (15 x 300 s) :

The comparison of spectra obtained between August 11 and 18 show an increase in the relative intensity of the lines at low resolution :

Nice and valuable serie Christophe with so many prominent lines measurable, hope you can continue!
Here is the weekend progress:
HeII_0817_0819.gif
The HeII 4686 peak increased linearily without profile change, whilst the other features mostly remaied constant.
I did retry the O3 region:
OIII_0817_0819.gif
OIII_0817_0819.gif (39.28 KiB) Viewed 12189 times
There is certainly something -1 A away, but not where O III would be expected.

Hello Peter,

Thank you very much for your encouragement !!
Clearly, there are still lines to identify...and it's exciting !!
For me, the weather has unfortunately become very cloudy ... I'll have to wait to resume tracking Vend47 !!
I hope you can continue your very interesting investigations at high resolution and detect changes in the blue part of the spectrum and ... maybe the appearance of the [OIII] lines !?

Clear skies !

Hello all,

Enjoying the return of good weather, I obtained the following spectrum on August 25 at 21 h 54 TU with a resolution of 523 (JJ = 2458356.4301) and an acquisition time of 50 min (10 x 300 s) :
TCPJ19544251+17222 on August 25, 2018
TCPJ19544251+17222 on August 25, 2018
_tcpj19544251+17222_20180825_913_Christophe Boussin_3700_7570.png (103.8 KiB) Viewed 12118 times
The comparison of the spectra obtained between August 11 and 25 shows an increase in the relative intensity of the lines and especially between August 18 and 25.
TCPJ19544251+17222 on August 11th, 13th, 15th, 18th and 25th, 2018
TCPJ19544251+17222 on August 11th, 13th, 15th, 18th and 25th, 2018
This increase is clearly visible on the Balmer lines and HeII line at 4686A but the [OIII] lines remain undetectable at low resolution.

A new near-UV spectrum (now by using a CCD camera) :

(now the OIII line at 3444 A is more easy to detect).

Hello all,

After a beautiful sunny afternoon, I obtained the following spectrum on September 1st at 21 h 36 TU with a resolution of 507 (JJ = 2458363.421) and an acquisition time of 60 min (12 x 300 s) :
TCPJ19544251+17222 on September 1st, 2018
TCPJ19544251+17222 on September 1st, 2018
_tcpj19544251+17222_20180901_900_Christophe Boussin_3700_7570.png (109.71 KiB) Viewed 11988 times
The comparison of the spectra obtained between August 11 and September 1st clearly shows an increase in the relative intensity of the Balmer lines since August 18.
This increase is particularly evident for the Halpha line and especially between 25 August and 1 September.
TCPJ19544251+17222 on August 11th, 13th, 15th, 18th, 25th and 1st September, 2018
TCPJ19544251+17222 on August 11th, 13th, 15th, 18th, 25th and 1st September, 2018
Has anyone else noticed this evolution ?
The relative intensity of the HeII line at 4686A remains unchanged since August 25.
The [OIII] lines at 4363, 4959 and 5007 are always undetectable at low resolution.

Further observations of the decline are welcome at low resolution.
Temperature of the hot component will increase and high ionization lines are expected, notably [Fe VII] and perhaps Raman OVI

All the best,

Christophe
