Re: SU Lyn Call for observations by Katarzyna Drozd
A comparison between 2 spectra taken about 1 month interval (28th march and yesterday).
H Alpha and H beta line intensity increase about 60% (corrected from heliocentric velocity)

Hi. Here is my latest low resolution (R= 993) spectra of SU Lyn (11X90sec 2x2 bin exposures with the CDK17 at F/6.8):
Per previous advice, I scaled the spectrum "long" on the Y-axis to bring up more detail on the shorter-wavelength side of the spectrum.
I'll try to get one more high resolution (Grating 1800 l/mm) spectra of the Ha region of SU Lyn before it slips behind my house in the next week or two.
James

Impeccable, Jean-Pierre, j'attends ton spectre pour la base
James:
- OK for the Ca II absorptions
- HI balmer exist but are not visible at such a resolution (for this star at this phase)
- The other identifications (Ca and Cl) are wrong
You have only the variations of the pseudo contnuum
Cl III is not a common line in symbiotics. It appears, faint, in some planetary nebula
Highly ionized Ca lines can be observed in some symbiotics but require higher resolution
For lines identification, I suggest you choose stars with strong emissions, such as AG Dra, CI Cyg, CH Cyg, BF Cyg ...

Ok. I reverted to my more trusty Bass V1.96 plot....will stick with that for awhile; hopefully the Fe at 4226A is real.
Wasn't that comfortable with Plotspectra in any case....
I'll leave the non-balmer lines out of the spectra to be less controversial.
Isis is almost too powerful for this novice user!
Sincerely
James
