Fantastic Joan!
There will be a great publication on this peculiar nova.

All the best,

François

Hi,
As it can also be seen with the graph of Umberto. It is very possible that there is a reverse relationship, between, the increase in brightness of the Nova and the decrease in the intensity of the Halpha.
Joan.

Salut, juste Joan, même la nuit dernière 23-10-2017, avec de nombreux problèmes météorologiques, j'ai réussi à faire un spectre à la nova.Voici son profil spectral et une comparaison avec 21-10-2017.
Salutations -
Umberto

Yes, Joan, the nova is again rebrightening. Outstanding!

Here is a spectrum from two nights before- the nova is getting more and more difficult to observe. Again P-Cyg profiles but now the bands are broad.

A few more spectra of this new brighning are welcome. Yes, the nopva is lower and lower.

All the best,

François

Greetings,

I was lucky enough to capture Nova sct2017 last evening just after sunset. This a hard target as you know being rather low to the southwest at sunset. Being at latitude 33 degrees did help. I was able to get 10 300sec exposures. Halpha is overexposed to, help improve the SNR at other wavelengths.
