I'm joining the party.

R = 540, Flux calibrated using photometry taken at the same time (V = 11.142)

Bonjour, placé le profil d'observation de la nuit 08/04/2017. Il est calibré en flux absolu avec la photométrie par PaoloBerardi en même temps.Umberto

Hi all, the nova brightness appears to be further increased (yesterday I measured V mag = 10.93).

The July 8 spectrum:

Image

The Fe II lines seem to have a more prominent P-cyg profile. The multiplet 42 velocities, measured on the P-Cyg minimum, are slightly decreased (~ 320 Km/s).

The 2d spectrum contaminated by Moon glow (sky not removed). Magnesium triplet & co...

Hi all, the nova is still bright, V mag = 10.89 on July 10.9. I observe it with the 1200 l/mm grating (R ~5500) in the H-alpha region. A lines indentification attempt in the lower graph.

Image

H-alpha RV on P-Cyg absorption minimum is about -420 Km/s

Image

The same measure on Si II doublet 6347/6371 (if the identification is correct): -250 Km/s

Hello,

very late, but finally yesterday I could take a spectrum of the nova. Only three shots; these last nights we stand hot temperatures and a very wet ambient, so the sky is often covered by low and persistent clouds. For this spectrum I used HD 179761 as comparison star.

Photometrycally the nova is now at his maximum brightness, according to AAVSO observations. Maybe Nova Sct 2017 is a slow nova (Nb)? Definitively it seems quite different if we compare it with Nova Del 2013.

Yes, it is very slow. Interesting
Very nice spectra. Congratulations to all

Bonjour à tous, placez le profil d'osservazione della nuit de 12-07-2017 et 13-07-2017.L'ampleur de la nova est encore augmentée comme indiqué par la courbe AAVSO.

Molto interessante, buon lavoro Umberto !

Now that it rises in magnitude, I will try to observe it with an echelle.

Un forte abbraccio, Joan.
