Approximative size of the hole of eshel (50 mcm) with my setup
Autoguiding RMS < 1 arcsec

So I can't get the jets shown by your image

It should be interesting to get an image with the slity aligned with the jets

Hi François, the narrow slit (31 micron) should be on the jet now (PA 35°, for the large slit observation it was at 15°).

The Doppler shift is appreciable on the 2d spectrum. The north-east "lump" is noticeably redshifted on the oxygen line.

The result:

A detail of the slit position:

Perhaps I should try with the 2400 l/mm grating to increase the spectral resolution (but I don't know if the SNR is enough). Also try to observe H-alpha line.

Bonjour, J'ai essayé une observation sur la région H-alpha de la même manière que Paolo, mais avec une grating de 1800 l / mm et une fente de 50 microns. Voici le spectre 2D et son profil. Umberto

Nice Spectrum James

The line is [N II]6584 and you have the other line of the doublet in the blue of H alpha ([NII] 6548)

Remember to send me the spectra for the database ;)

All the best,

François

A spectrum taken with very bad weather conditions (fog, wind, humidity), just 2x1200s exposure not enough with an eshel spectrograph to have a good SNR in all orders.

here's the H Alpha region, H Beta and HeI 5876.

François, I don't know if this spectrum is enough good for the database....
