Re: R Aqr spectra requested by Margarita Korovska
Hi,
here is my contribution for R Aqr. The comparison star is HD 222847 (B9 V).
I wonder what is the optimum frequency of observation: a spectrum every week? 15 jours?
Greetings
Fran

That's excellent, Fran,
The shape of the spectrum varies quickly as the pulsation period is short
A spectrum a week in the base should be a must.

Re: R Aqr spectra requested by Margarita Korovska
Some details from Margarita Karovska about the campaign:
It will be good to get spectra similar to what you have in the CH Cyg campaign (as shown in the newsletter).
Can it be done?
The observations are currently for Oct 9, 2017 - Oct 16, 2017 (HST and Chandra).
This may change, but it seems probable that these is the window.
So, having R Aqr spectra starting in August , one per week, and more often during the observation in October, and then one per week until mid-November (December) would be really good.
When I know exactly the times of the Chandra and HST observations I'll send an alert notice

Re: R Aqr spectra requested by Margarita Korovska
The observing dates of R Aqr by CHANDRA/HST are known
Message from Margarita Karovska
Thank you for continuing with the spectroscopy of R Aqr.
I just got the "likely" dates for the Chandra/HST observations.
Chandra:
October 11, 2017 (Wed) Day 284
October 13, 2017 (Fri) Day 286
October 14, 2017 (Sat) Day 287
2017:284:08:00:35.809 2017:284:19:07:15.809
2017:286:14:07:20.054 2017:287:06:47:20.054
2017:287:19:02:58.582 2017:288:02:32:18.642
HST:
2017:286:07:51:19 - 286:12:05:13
Unless, it changes, it would be great (if possible) to get spectra on those days
------------------
Here are the filters in the optical that we are using, so it will be good to get good spectra around those spectral regions encompassing the lines as well (if possible):
Center[A] bandpass[A]
3360 500
3730[OII] 38
4370[OIII] 26
5007[OIII] 47
5470 710
6563Halpha 14
6730
Observations before these dates are imporrant to established the base line
Thanks a lot to all observers

Re: R Aqr spectra requested by Margarita Korovska
My last spectrum of P Aqr taken last just before the clouds arrive. (I have not enough exposures to have a good SNR in the blue part of the spectrum).
Here's a comparison of the evolution with my last observation the 6th august.
And the evolution of the Fe lines between 5316 to 5341 Å.
And the Balmer lines velocity
