Re: Supernova in NGC 1365
Thanks Terry!
A special page concerning sn2012fr is now open in ARAS site:

(Bernard, remenber to send your important SN spectra - actual and future!)

Re: Supernova in NGC 1365
The SN2012fr page is updated with Robin H. observation (Oct. 29):
http://www.astrosurf.com/aras/surveys/s ... fr/obs.htm
and also my very latest observation from France (moon light is less agressive and
the sn magnitude is now more favorable) - last night:
(Celestron 9 + LISA (35 microns slit) + Atik460EX CCD camera + one hour exposure)
The profile aspect change quickly (compare with Terry Nov. 4 observation).

Re: Supernova in NGC 1365
Last night, 10 November, was my first chance to get a follow-up spectra of this SN, which apparently is close to its peak. The Type 1a profile is now very clearly defined ... GELATO gives a 100% match.

Bernard, your latest high signal to noise ratio spectrum is now added to the global compilation:

Re: Supernova in NGC 1365
This Type Ia SN continues to evolve, with increasingly stronger MgII, FeII,SII and SiII absorption, as seen in my 13 Nov spectra. Note that I've shifted my coverage towards the red.

Fine Bernard !
The SN spectrum aspect change now very quicky.
Your spectrum is added in the database, and also an excellent LISA spectrum
from Terry (Nov. 1146):

Re: Supernova in NGC 1365
Terry, I have observed at nearly the same time from France (Nov 15.9). Here a comparison of the two spectra:
Note the very high similarity

Re: Supernova in NGC 1365
I also took a spectra last night. There was no wind to make guiding difficult for the first time since I have taken images of this star. The result was a better SN.
