Nouveau Echelle Linx

Post by Joan Guarro Flo »

Bonjour à tous,

Je finis la partie mécanique des nouveaux Linx Echelle.

Maintenant, il reste à construire le module de guidage.

Amicalement, Joan.

Impressionnant, Joan!
Tu n'arrêtes pas.
Quelle est la résolution du nouveau spectrographe ? Quelles différences par rapport à Mussol ?

Amitiés,

François

Bonjour François,

Continuous with English, because the Google translator, Catalan (and Spanish too) - French is very bad.

I'm glad you like it. I am retired and have little time to scratch aluminum.

The Linx is reinforced because it is designed from the beginning to run on optical fiber.

The Linx has two differences with the Mussol.

1st) The Mussoll, has a disperser a transmission grating of 200 l/mm. with a 50 mm. diameter, of Baader-Planetarium (evil tongues say Baader-Planetarium, was discontinued because no one could use to being able to build a spectrograph, losing customers. This world is full of infamy ....), will be replaced, in this case, by a 300 l/mm. 50x50.

2nd) In the place of the old-ASAHI PENTAX, there will be a NIKON of the same characteristics, F 85 mm. 1:1.8.

The Linx will have the same resolution as the Mussol. He will go to the telescope Sta. Maria Montmagastell. Now just a box.

Now it build the module guide, I hope that everything works in the next summer.

Bien amicalement, Joan.

To: Joan,

Great Aluminum/Optical work! You wouldn't have any AutoCad or raytracing plans for this beauty
along wih the optics spacings and part numbers?

I have a 85mm Nikor and somebody who works Al so this should be easy to replicate; minus the optical work.

Sincerely Yours,

James

According to Thomas Baader, the 207 l/mm grating was discontinued due to ongoing quality problems with the supplier........

Hello,

Paolo, thank you for your encouragement, but the Linx still does not work, just finished the mechanical part, such lack mount optics and collimated it. I see the drawbacks we found little ...

James, the mechanical recognize that looks good, but now lack it all work within a few days really know if all goes well. Luckily I have the experience of the first Echelle I build the Mussol. The again, Linx, performance is very similar. I do not use AutoCAD or any software ray tracing, but I did drawings on paper, I have noticed that a lot has been done in C. Buil and others. Soon I will say if the Linx work, then I will end here its features.

Ken, what you say is true, so I plan to put a transmission network 300 l / mm.

See you soon, Joan.

Hello all,

This is a test of the Lynx, done in daylight (wavelength is not calibrated correctly). There is still work to do all the settings work correctly, but the first impression is optimistic.

Regards, Joan.
