Reference Star Finder Update

Postby Francois Teyssier » Thu May 09, 2019 5:35 pm

The Reference Star Finder Spreadsheet is updated:
- correction of an error in the computation of the trajectory of the reference (thanks to Bertrand Guegan)
- add a new feature: visualisation of the error on the computation of the continuum (one can choose among 3 stellar types A G M)

In this example, HD107348 (B8V) has been chosen as reference.
If one use this reference to compute the IR response for an hypothetical A0V target located RA 12 h and Dec -15 °(blue curve), the result appears in red

Wrong choice!

Try HD103362

Good Choice !

Note: you can change the AOD and altitude for the computation
The computation uses the model explained by Christian Buil in:

Thank you very much François for these new features !
The new graphs are really a great help to choose the reference star !
