Comments by Augustin Skopal:
I just had a look at the TCP J1954... spectra in the ARAS database
Spectroscopic features of its current outburst are very similar to
those observed for AG Peg during its 2015 outburst and for AG Dra
outbursts (Balmer jump in emission (!), strong HeII4686 and other Balmer
and HeI lines showing more or less a single peak).
I was very positively surprised with Christian Buil's spectra that
contain rather well defined Balmer jump region - very important for
the symbiotic stars research. Its presence immediately indicates
the nebular emission in the continuum providing a possibility to
determine emission measure, Te, etc.
Keep on the very good job
Still waiting for an AAVSO alert
Christian, après un tel éloge d'UVEX2, tu n'as plus qu'à plancher sur UVEX3 pour aller chercher OIII 3313 A

Hello all,
After a very rainy and covered night yesterday...I was able to resume tracking TCPJ19544251+17222 again.
The spectrum below was obtained on August 13 at 21 h 51 TU with a resolution of 504 (JJ = 2458344.4336) and an acquisition time of 65 min (13 x 300 s) :
The comparison of the spectra obtained on August 11th and 13th with some identified lines :
The Balmer, HeI and HeII lines are clearly visible. Some FeII lines seem to be present in the two spectra as well the [OI] line at 5577A...but [OIII] lines are not visible.
Clear skies,
Christophe BOUSSIN

Congratulations on all your results!
The 13/08/2018 spectrum, Lhires III 600 l/mm. A slight better resolution (better thermal stabilization of the spectrograph) were reached respect to my last observation. No apparent evolution compared to 11/8 spectrum.
The symbiotic has a new name in VSX: Vend47 (from Vendégcsillag-kereső survey by Róbert Fidrich)

Hello all,
Thank you very much Paolo ! Congratulations also for your very first spectrum and...the mention of the shorter name of TCPJ19544251+17222 aka Vend47 !!
With weather still so pleasant, I obtained the following spectrum this night, August 15 at 21 h 18 TU with a resolution of 505 (JJ = 2458346.4143) and an acquisition time of 75 min (15 x 300 s) :
The comparison of spectra obtained between August 11 and 15 does not show any obvious evolution at low resolution :
Nevertheless, it appears (maybe…) to be a slight increase in the relative intensity of the HeII line at 4686A.
However, this remark need to be confirmed by new observations...
Spectroscopically,
Christophe BOUSSIN

My last observation.
The full graph (orders from #30 to #57 merged, I cut the graph below 4200 Å where there was only noise)
I just noticed an evolution on order #48 : NIII CIII HeII 4640 and especially on the Helium II 4640 which tends to widen.
Otherwise the Balmers lines increase in intensity like H gamma

My result for Aug 17. A difficult target for Echelle spectroscopy and conditions were not ideal - very high humidity and haze.
