Premiers spectres : P-Cygni et WR136 (First spectra !)

Post by Marian Gutowski »

Bonjour tout le monde :D , (in English lower in the text)

Amicalement

Marian

Hello everybody :D ,

I present to you my first spectra acquired on 04/10/2018 at the Alpy 600. The setup is as follows: an RC8 with a CCDT67 focal reducer on an AZ-EQ6 mount, the spectro CCD is an Atik 460 EXm, guiding with a Lodestar X2 in TheSkyX. Acquisition and treatment in Shelyak Demetra. I first acquired P-Cygni, then the reference star HD193369, then WR136.

Spectra are higher in the message (right click and open in a new tab to view the entire image)

I am a little surprised by the specter of P-Cygni that I find a little "flat". WR136 does not have a continuum but I think it's normal for a Wolf Rayet ? Thank you for telling me what you think ;) !

Sincerely

Marian

Hello Marian

Felicitation. Cela m'a l'air maitrisé.

(~70000K) ;-) Most of the continuum radiation is in the UV

Thank you friends, not easy to understand what is detected on a spectrum, at least when you are a beginner. I thought that Thierry was joking about a cold object for WR136 ... the continuum has a slight upward slope towards blue, I deduced that most of the energy was actually in the UV or beyond. That's right ? Moreover, it is the same for P-Cygni, where we can see that the continuum begins to rise below 4000 A (except for the zone on the extreme left that would certainly have to be cut because it is not valid).
