In order to evaluate how to develop the Sindex pipeline and building a kind of DB, Christian, Olivier, others, could you please send me an example of your 1D extracted and wavelength-calibrated H&K spectrum ?
I will see how I can proceed these spectra coherently to measure the Sindex.

I've sent you 2 nights (2019.05.10, 05.17 + RS CVn: also on 2019.04.19) of 4 program stars (RS CVn = HD 114519, HD115404, Ksi Boo = HD 131156, Sig CrB = HD 146361).
Out of these 4 targets, RS CVn is showing an always different profile - like shooting different stars: For the other stars, I cannot see much change (continuum slope varies somewhat - should be the choice and manual handling of reference star).
I am suprised to see the S-index being used for RS CVn - browsing through the articles for RS CVn referred to by Simbad (at least 3 I could find), the CaII + Heps emissions are measured in either EWs or fluxes (with different continuum subtraction techniques - either approximated or using a real or reconstruced templace star).
Hope we can continue the exploration and learn further!

Actuellement en mission NP sur le C2PU Calern, nous profitons aussi du T400 amateur pour utiliser UVEX(3) .
actuellement avec reseau 1200 et fente 25microns.
Ci-dessous comparaison d'un spectre T400 et une précédente acquisition avec C8. a suivre

Pas mal du tout pour une étoile de magnitude V=5,5 avec un C8 ! Belle mise en évidence de l'émission.

Le SNR est semble-t-il OK mais je ne sais pas l'estimer ! comment faire sous ISIS ?

My interest was piqued by this project so I tried a few targets....
sig Crb (HD 146361), Xi Boo (HD 131156) and Chi Dra.
My first post here, and not sure how to supply images (FAQ says they have to be on a public server...? Agh - I see you can attach and place inline)
I used two calibration lines (3948.979A, and 4044.418A) in the Lhires Neon lamp which are due to traces of Argon I believe (I hadn't changed to the Argon/neon lamp). I reverse engineered them from the spectral features, and the NIST database.
If I follow this further, I'll change the lamp!
I used a C11 with Atik460EX. Location is suburban area.

Hi Kevin, excellent H&K spectra. I suspect you use a Lhires III 2400 l/mm + 23 microns slit. It's OK ?
(not easy to calibrate, fine use of faint argon lines)
