Very nice result especially at M 13.8 ! What size telescope was used Robin?

Re: SN 2020uxz in NGC514
Hi All, Hi Robin,
After a second try, I could obtain enough signal yesterday evening. Here is below my contribution:
My continuum is rather flat, especially in the Blue. Can't explain if this is because of the star in explosion or a bad instrumental response obtained. That being said, Gelato has correctly matched with a type Ia also proposed :
This Sn is still exiting to follow in the days to come, not far away from Mars at the moment in the sky. Here is a picture of my guiding camera below :
Cheers,
Fred

280mm (The Celestron C11 at f5.5). This magnitude is ok for me with the ALPY 600. Even the individual 10min spectra show the main features
I can get to ~mag 15.5 with the standard ALPY, though at reduced SNR and mag 16-5-17 with my modified ALPY 200 at R~130 eg for faint supernovae classification
Cheers

A spectrum from 20201103, approximately 12 days post maximum. Significant evolution since pre maximum
https://britastro.org/specdb/data_graph ... end_pos=ne
but still a good match to a typical type Ia
Cheers

Hi All,
After its 34th days post explosion, and 17th days post maximum; spectrum of SN2020uxz taken yesterday evening :
Magnitude estimated from 14 to 15, here is below a pic of my guiding camera :
It also match corectly in GELATO with the SN2003du, in its 19th post max:
Cheers

Re: SN 2020uxz in NGC514
Nice result Frederic , according to LCG the magnitude is now around 14.4 ... not a bad performance with a modest Newton skywatcher 250mm. .
