An Alpy 600 spectrum of PNV J19150199+0719471
taken June 04.05 UT from Castanet –Tolosan obs. (12x600 sec exposure)
Note the moderate telescope size (200 mm f/4) for these V=11 magnitude star, but the
good signal to noise ratio.

On va bien voir,

A bientôt donc...

Re: PNV J19150199+0719471 in Aql
some spectroscopic information on this object from [vsnet-alert 15832] confirming the features seen here
Robin
We conducted Echelle observations of PNV Aql on June 3 during 2.5
hours with the 2.1m telescope
at the San Pedro M=E1rtir Observatory.
We detected a strong double-peaked H alfa line in emission, while H
Beta shows a
broad and shallow abosrption with a weak core in emission. H Gamma and
Delta are almost absent.
He I 4471 shows a weak absorption.
Radial velocities of H alfa shows a clear orbital period of P(orb)
0.06164 days. The semi amplitude of the
radial velocity curve is only K = 15 km/s, which for a high
inclination system (as presumed by the double peak H alfa line)
suggests a very low mass companion, possibly a brown dwarf. If this
proves correct we should be able
to observe the Balmer lines of the white dwarf when it returns to
quiescence.

The aspect of the spectrum evolve. The Halpha
is faintly visible the 12/6 and not visible in emission the 13/6.
(exposure time is relativement short for the two obervation, 4x600 sec.
on a 0.2-m télescope).

Spectrum for the date 16.0/06/2013:
(C11 + Alpy600 + Atik460 bin1x1, 13 x 600 sec.)
Halpha emission faintly visible. The object is now at V=12.5.
