U. Sollecchia found a noticeable increase of h-alpha emission line on 21 december 2014 respect to the last spectrum in BeSS taken with Elodie spectrograph (14 jan 2003).
The mid-res observation (Lhires III 1200) seems to confirm.
Very interesting. I looked this star back in 2008 using the Star Analyser as part of some tests to find out if the SA100 could detect changes in activity in fainter stars http://www.threehillsobservatory.co.uk/ ... tra_38.htm
I suspected then that the activity was higher than in 2003 but I did not have good enough equiment or experience then to confirm it with a high resolution spectrum
Tonight I was able to record it using the LHIRES 2400 and C11 and confirm your spectrum
Cheers
Robin

Hi Robin, thank you for your observation! Moreover, your spectrum taken in 2008 shows without doubt that the increase of h-alpha strength was already in progress. Low resolving power spectrographs (included the Star Analyser) seem useful instruments to massively monitor faint Be stars status (to intercept large changes).
