Hello respected Admin & all members
Good afternoon
Myself, Vikrant Kumar Agnihotri, belongs to India. Thanks for adding me in a rich and valuable group dedicated for spectroscopy work. I am a bit worked with star analyzers but new to LHIRESIII and extremely excited about it.
The group support is needed to me for learning more and more about spectroscopy.
with regards and greetings from "INDIA"
Vikrant

Re: Hello
Vikrant,
welcome on board!
As you are close to PRL university, do not hesitate to share what they are doing too - saw couple of Astronomical Telegrams with PRL name on it...
Cordialement,
Olivier Thizy

Re: Hello
Welcome to the forum Vikrant.
Good to see you here from the RSpec forum. I also made the step up from Star Analyser to LHIRES back in 2006. It was a big step but an exciting one !
For processing LHIRES spectra I use ISIS which is very powerful and matched with the LHIRES. You can see a tutorial here

Re: Hello
Thanks Mr Robin
You and Mr. Tom Field helped me a lot in past. I remember that you both corrected ISON spectrum.. :
I will learn ISIS software too (and may be more biased on it in future) but I have special affection with Rspec software (it is more than only a software to me..
I have visited your personal web site too.. and saw pics in which your all astro set up blown away with high winds. I have built a heavy pier of 100 Kg with which C11 works stable without vibrations mounted on NEQ6.
Finally you all are very much valuable to me
Regards
