Hello,
Let me present all my recent observations (including 3 new ones) around H-beta, together with acquiring data from AAVSO (putting together as an animated gif):

- v694mon_psomogyi_20160206_0226_with_aavso.gif (106.48 KiB) Viewed 8916 times
As you can see, only the three Fe II multiplets absorption seems to be changing (and line intensities).
Note: I have noticed a wavelength calibration problem - was using wrong calibration line on the right edge (asdb_v694mon_20160206_744, asdb_v694mon_20160211_884) - will send the fix together with the new spectra to the database soon. On this movie, the fix has already been applied.
Cheers,
Peter

This graph shows how the H-alpha emission line flux has varied with V magnitude as V694 Mon brightened from 10th mag in early 2015 to 9th mag in early 2016. The H-alpha flux increases by a factor of ~4, the same as the increase in the flux of the star.

Hello David, Hello Peter,
Nice results and analysis
I took them for the next letter
David, could you show the evolution according to JD ?
Peter, should be interesting to produce measures of the intensities (EW)
All the best,
François
Currently updating my gui in matlab to produce spectra with two y scales
Peter the data base is updated with your fixed spectra

Hello Francois,
Here is the variation of H-alpha flux with JD.
Best wishes,

Yesterdays state (4 x 10 min, R~1900):

Absorption shiting to red. The rising spike at 4838.34A in the hole is visible well on all the raw images.
Interesting that the Fe II 4924A absorption looks changed differently than Fe II 5018A, 5169A, but maybe it's just a coincidence of changing there also something else.
Had no time to take any other region, veils closed in.
Peter

Hi Peter,
The faint emission in the absorption (or lack of absorption) seems interesting
The star is like a geyser : all moves before the eruption
Fe II : these are the 3 lines of a multiplet. To my knowledge, they must have (approximatively) the same behavior.
Umberto : nice !
Let's go on
François, working on the new letter
