The peak intensity at H alpha increased from 17 to 19 March but the wings decreased so the total EW stayed ~constant.

Une remarque pour toi Eric, mais aussi d'autre s: j'ai vu que tu a adopté pour le nom de l'objet "chcyg" lors
du traitement (entête FITS).

Je recommande un nom plus explicite, compatible avec une requette CDS - ce qui est un bon test.
Dans le cas présent tu aurais pu nommer l'objet "ch cyg", ou mieux encore, car plus lisible
et juste par rapport à la norme "CH Cyg". Faire bien attention à ces petits détails, respectez le
nom des objets - utiles pour un archivage futur. Songez à votre mémoire de cette observation
dans 10 ans.

i had an opportunity to a all night session on CH cyg during the 19-20 March. 7H of observations. I had also a spectacular solar spectrum at the end...not includes in the CH cyg series of course.
Ha alpha as seen during the last 40H of observation shows small hourly (time resolution) variations of the blue peak. This is not due to tellurics and must be real. I localized a second sky emission line at 5661A. Both 5551A and 5561 are sensible to the height of the star above the horizon or bad guiding (letting sky background enter the fiber).
No variations seen in H beta and [OIII] during this 7h run.

Again, very interesting, especially the changes of Halpha.
Halpha may be coming from some region of the accretion disk and perhaps varies as the high speed photometry shows at scales from few minutes to hours.
We've observed a quasi-period of ~500s in U an B. It would be good if one can get shorther exposure of the Halpha region (inspite of the lower S/N to see if there is a variation on 10 minutes sclale?

So it could help Margarita observations to make CONTINUOUS high resolution spectra in Ha with a 600s max exposure cadence despite lowering SNR.

Quite a bit more challenging, not for whom own a meter class scope. So...

I agree.
The higher cadence (than 600) will be even better because the flickering period is 500s, so if there is a larger aperture perhaps a cadence of 50s to 100s may be achieved to probe for that.
We are having a high speed photometry done as part of the coordinated observations looking for flickering.
It would be most interesting to see what eg. Halpha does....
