Bonsoir à tous, le profil de cette soirée 18/12/2020 et une comparaison avec la journée 16-12-2020 où une augmentation de l'OI-8446A est évidente. Un filtre rouge a été interposé.

Here are two composite plots of spectra of Nova Per 2020 taken by ARAS observers using LISA spectroscopes which show its evolution during the 3 weeks since discovery. All spectra have been normalised to unity at 5500A, log-scaled and equally displaced vertically.

Hi David,
Very interesting to see how it changed in the starting days and then more or less stabilized.
Thank you.

Hello all,
A few nights with a clear sky allowed us to obtain the following spectra of the Nova Per 2020 with an Alpy 600.
The 17th of December at 20 h 17 TU (resolution of 520, JJ = 2459201.3451 and an acquisition time of 30 min) :

The 18th of December at 23 h 04 TU (resolution of 521, JJ = 2459202.461 and an acquisition time of 70 min) :

- Nova Per 2020 on December 6th, 15th, 17th and 18th, 2020 (identification of some lines from PlotSpectra).
The relative intensities of the FeII lines as well as that of the [OI] line at 6300 A seem to have increased slightly in a few days...

- Nova Per 2020 on December 6th, 15th, 17th and 18th, 2020 (zoom).
...and the relative intensity of the Halpha line continues to increase :

- Nova Per 2020 on December 6th, 15th, 17th and 18th, 2020 (Halpha).

Better late then never.....I've been taking Alpy600, LISA-IR, and LhiresIII data in Ha, Hb, & CaK.
First here is a stitched Alpy600+LISA-IR spectrum (Taken on the 4&5Dec20...I have more but wanted to do this pair first):

NOTE: All identified spectral lines are tenative.....I used a paper (Optical and near-infrared spectroscopy of nova V1494 Aquilae 1999 no. 2) to help identify the Ol lines in IR.
Here is an animation of the H-Alpha changes seen with my LhiresIII on 27Nov20, 11Dec20, 13Dec20, & 21Dec20:

NOTE: The 1st night (27Nov20) was slightly under-sampled, so I applied a low-pass gaussian filter. After this I increased my CCD cooling from -5 to -9 and increased
my sub-exposure duration from 2400 to 2700 seconds to get better SNR.
Here are two exposures in the H-Beta region with the LhiresIII (15Dec20 & 22Dec20):
Here is a single (set of 6 images, each 45min [2700sec] long) of the CaK region taken with the LhiresIII (16Dec20):
Hopefully this will stay above 11th magnitude for awhile longer....
James
