Probléme : j'ai acquis les images avec MaximDl. J'ai vu dans un post que tu as a été confronté au probléme de l'inversion des images. Du nouveau depuis ? Comment as-tu résolu la difficulté ?

En fait pour corriger le problème avec Maxim DL, j'oriente la caméra CCD de façon à avoir la partie rouge du spectre en bas de l'image, et comme cela l'image est bien orienté pour ISIS ensuite.

C'est un problème d'origine de coordonnées de l'image, pour l'un l'origine est en haut à gauche de l'image (maximDL), pour l'autre en bas à gauche.
Voici ce que j'obtiens avec Maxim DL et le Thorium


Et cette même image du Thorium ouverte avec un autre soft que Maxim DL


Il y a donc un effet "miroir vertical" entre les 2.

Maxim writes and reads the images in a different way from ISIS, Audela and other programs. The main point is that they look the right way when opened in ISIS, red at the top for a correct analysis. For the images already taken you can flip them vertically in Maxim by a maual operation or a batch command (under: view - batch process window). For further spectra you can flip them when setting up the camera in Maxim under
- camera control
- options
- flip vertically
However I think it is easier to use Audela for taking the spectra unless you use a camera which is not supported. I use Audela for taking spectra and for guiding.

Hi Francois,

instead of flipping horizontally and vertically you can also rotate the camera by 180°, this should have the same effect. The image looks OK, but focusing can be improved as explained in my attached notes, which I wrote while setting up my echelle. They should apply as well to your echelle. In short if your collimator is not focused correctly the convergent beam on the grating produces astigmatism, visible as different slant of the ThAr lines in different orders. With correct focusing of the collimator (and camera lens) you will get nice round spectral lines .
