Just to show as a perspective, switched to 35um slit + 2400/mm, 2 x 10min exposure, 2x2 bin (ATIK 414exm @ -15C):
Only 2 x 10 minute because clouds suddenly arrived.
Since Ha can vary at this resolution a lot, this kind of use might be interesting.
A few tuning I did before:
- washed the 25cm f/4 mirror (always does miracle for newts...)
- realigned the APM barlow (it was less perpendicular), now I can have the guide star correctly in the middle
- 35um allowed switch to 2x2 bin (giving illusion like a 2x2 box filter)
Being this object reddish, lots of infra photons might have helped in guide.
ISIS reports R between 12500 - 13500 after switched to 35um slit.
