The symbiotic star AG Peg is in outburst.
A exceptionnal event.
AG Peg had undergone a very slow nova event in the middle of the XIXth century, raising to its maximum luminosity from ~ 1850 to ~1870.
Then it declined ; the decline during more than a century ; it recovered its quiescent luminosity at the begening of the XXIth century.

The current increase in luminosity is unique in the story of the star !

An eshel spectrum (R=11000) taken last night with a RC400 Astrosib and an ATIK 460EX.
Very easy target only 45 minutes exposure
The raw image
The full spectrum (23 orders placed end to end)
And spectrum order by order

Hi,
I send AG Pegasi spectrum taken by Celestron C11, mounted on 10 Micron GM2000HPS, plus CCD Atik 314L+. The spectrograph is SA 200 with a dispersion of 7.49 A/pixel.

Nice result with a SA !
Note that 4686 is He II (ionised helium)
You have also He I lines (5876 ...)
All the best,
François Teyssier

You are right. Mine was a misprint.
Thanks for hint. I refer to atomic He.
