Here is my spectra for VV Cep taken from Mt. Pinos, California (2500 meters elevation) on
01 October 2016, y-scale normalized to 1:
Center near CaK (7x420seconds summed):

Center near H-Beta line (7x300 seconds summed):

Center near H-Alpha line(7x180 seconds summed):
Spectra were dark/bias calibrated. These exposures were summed in MaximDL, hot-pixel eliminated,
and had a manually generated flat field applied.
These spectrum were further processed in Bass project software 1.94 by being rotated & slant corrected,
above, below subtracted and active (continuum) selected, calibrated with a Ne-Ar reference image taken
right before and after exposure, and instrument response corrected using Vega on the same night.
I normalized the y-axis to a value near 1. Interestingly, this makes my H-Alpha scaled peak of
5 match Tartou/JJ Broussa original post almost perfectly!
Shot with a 33 Cm. aperture classical cassegrain telescope using an Atik 460ex CCD and
a L-200 spectroscope with a 1800 l/mm grating from 2500 meters elevation.
I have another VV Cep batch to process for 02-Oct-2016.
