Hello everybody,
My name is Robin (but I am french). I live in South West of France about a hundred km north east of Biarritz. I am chemical engineer but my hobby has always been astronomy.
I have mainly done astrophoto untill now with a Paramount MEII + GSO 16" + starlight Xpress SX694 and ultrastar. I also bought an Alpy 600 with calibration and guiding module.
I have done several spectra for practicing and tested different softwares mainly VisualSpec, Isis and Bass. I have not decided yet which one I will use. Isis looks powerfull but I have some problems (error messages...). Bass seems easy.
My idea is to do spectroscopy when the moon does not allow me to take deep sky objet pictures. I am interested in measuring the radial speed of the stars. I will probably buy a LhyreIII for that purpose.
Regards
Robin.
