Hi All,
There is a strange emission ray in my M31 Spectrum taken with Alpy 600. After accurate calibration it is found to be at 4853 angstrom. Could it be Hbeta or Argon?
The conditions where not good: full moon and fog.
I will try to take it again in better condition but I am curious where this ray comes from.
Robin

Hello Robin,
I think it's a hot pixel.

Good observation, M31 is a interesting galaxy, have you calculted the redshift ?
