This was discovered by Gaia on 28th at mag 17 but was much brighter last night (~mag 15 or perhaps brighter) last night when I took the spectrum and is still likely to be a few days from max so would be a good early evening standard ALPY candidate.

I just heard that my classification triggered SWIFT observations last night by a team who are following up all nearby 1a supernovae :-)

Spectrum from last night with standard ALPY 600 compared with SNID best fit which predicts it is just past maximum

Not a difficult target despite the full moon and low altitude at ~35deg (9x600s)
