New AGN found

During our mission on Calern's T1M, we discovered a new active core galaxy. (AGN)

On the raw spectrum that appeared on the screen we could see that the lines were shifted in the red

The spectrum shows the Balmers lines in emissions as well as the [OIII] lines

The table here, shows the redshift z calculation.

Publication (with 3 others galaxies) is in progress...

Very nice ! This could be a suitable project for my faint object ALPY 200. Was this a specific target or part of a general survey ?

No this object come from a list of PN probable that you can find here :

No... :D , But it's a wonderful telescope with very good pointing and tracking accuracy.
