Hello at all,

I left here some samples of a normal observational activity in the Piera Remote Observatory.

Unfortunately the Santa Maria M. Remote Observatory stopped its activity some weeks ago, due to a fortuit accident
that damaged the motors and some electronic cards of the Meade mount. Although Meade abandoned their customers
without supplying spare pieces, we believe to have ready the SMM equipment very soon.

Meanwhile I hope you enjoys these graphics took by SC16" telescope, a NOU_T echelle and a ASI2600MM.

Regards, J. Guarro.

Hello,

You can see here three graphics outcomes from last night observation by Piera Remote Observatory.

Hello at all,

Meanwhile, Toni a I were occupied trying to install the OnStep system, the ASI2600MM camera of the Piera Remote Observatory equipment, was a leak of internal cooling liquid over its CMOS, which is one common damage that can happen in the first building series of this camera,
ZWO knows that it could happen and maintains an indefinite guarantee for it in its cameras. See the photo.

I sent the Piera ASI2600MM to ZWO by my seller, it wants to say that I've been left with both observatories out of service. I thought that it was a good time to test this, a bit, unappreciated ASI294MM camera with all its noise and other unliked characteristics, but I only had this other real option.

So I mounted the ASI294MM in the Piera NOU_T echelle, I used it with binning 1x1, - 2.315 x 2.315 microns -, BIAS = 10, GAIN = 200. In the reduction images by the ISIS CMOS application, I utilized a camera master BIAS, not a synthetic one, Median Filter 3x3 and an ending 3x3 binning.

I add here these two graphics made with this system by ASI294MM camera, their both first results haven't nothing to envy at the ASI2600MM ones.

When the weather gods treat me better I'm going to observe and show here more ASI294MM outcomes.

Regards, J.Guarro.

Hello again,

Finally, the weather improved, but without good seeing, I could observe with the Piera equipment, this time the target had V694 Mon.

You can see the outcome here and the low or inexistent amp-glow effect on the final image and its graphics.

In my opinion, for the NOU_T echelle, these results confirm that the ASI294MM camera is a worthy and reliable substitute for the ASI2600MM, in the case the observer has to take into account their more limited characteristics.

I will send more information in the future.

Regards, J. Guarro.

Hello,

The news is that a new ASI2600MM has arrived in replacement of the damaged one, of course into ZWO guaranty with zero cost.

When the weather is cloudy I'll replace the ASI294MM with this new ASI2600MM to the Piera NOU_T echelle.

Cheers, J. Guarro.
