The STAROS Projects team has designed a new device for scanning the Sun surface at the wavelength of your choice. It's autonomous and plug and play:

The Sun scan completed in 5 minutes (including installation and automatic processing) with the SUNSCAN



all these images were produced automatically from a single scan (no manual processing)

2 SUNSCAN animations:

- the evolution of a protuberance in less than an hour



- the Sun's rotation in 5 days



The animations were created from images supplied automatically by the SUNSCAN application, with no post-processing other than cropping the image for the protuberance animation and adding the date and time.

SUNSCAN is very easy to use, setting up in less than 3 minutes and automatically processing an image in less than 3 minutes, so including installation, you can obtain an image in 6 minutes at the wavelength of your choice (between Ca II K & H and H alpha) by just ^precing a button on your smartphone.



It's a compact, easy-to-use “plug and play” instrument that's easy to take anywhere.
