Hello all:
My name is Dong [name]. Li [surname] 李冬 :) 37 years old, 1.88m tall, 80kg; single; chinese from Tianjin. [Log=117.2528/Lat=39.15951]

Finally I can enter our warm spectro-home here and feel so exiting and happy. And just because of the excitement, initially when I registered I did not read carefully the notation, then I registered as "FireFly", not use the standard method that I shall use my true name. So I am the little  (maybe a big) firefly ,just equal to Dong . Li.

Now list my weapons:
1. C11 with CGEM 2.LHIRES III 2400l/mm, and 1200/600 for backup 3. CCD is QHY6Pro 4. Watec120N+ for guiding
5. 6 600l/mm transmission gratings [round and square shaped] for 2 120 6x7 film cameras and 4 135 film SLR cameras, for meteor spectrum.

I am new that I will do my best to learn much more from all of you~

Here I just ended my CCD's evaluation of gain & noise. The range of 6Pro's offset is 0---255, the manufacturer's noise is 6~8 e/sec., does not inform at what degree the temperature is when CCD is tested. I set to -5 degree. And I'll send my result here.

Hello and welcome to the group. I used to use a camera with small CCD (an ATIK 16IC), similar to your QHY6Pro with my LHIRES III so you should be able to get some good results.

Good Luck!
Robin

Hello, Robin:

Warm hug for your encouragement~ I'll do my best step by step...
And could you have a look at my result of gain & RON of QHY6Pro at my another post? And just tell me if it is good enough or bad?

Best regards,

Dong . Li
