Dear All.
My name is Terry Bohlsen and I live in Armidale NSW Australia on a lovely dark property 10km from town at 1100m altitude. I am a country Dr with interests in obstetrics and anaesthetics.
My interest in Astronomy started in earnest in 1995 when I moved to a very rural part of NSW for work. It has lovely big dark skies. I bought a scope and was hooked. I did a Master in Astronomy with research using the ATCA radio telescope. I built a Genesis CCD (Audine) that I used for pretty pics and then photometry. I have since moved and now have a permanent observatory with a vixen VC200L for photometry using an SBIG ST10XME.
Spectroscopy was the logical next step. I have built one of Kens L200 spectrograph and am still tackling with perfecting it.
I can produce medium resolution spectra and have started submitting data to the BeSS database. I want to continue improving my data collection and help contribute to the science community.
Cheers
Terry
