Fourth Alpy Session

Not much of a session, the wind came up before I could even get a reference star. Olivier's comments on my last post were critical, I now know what the line through the image is and paid attention to exact slit placement. I picked Procyon simply because it was my first alignment star. Very short exposures helped. Comments always appreciated.
Cheers, Ed

Excellent !!!
You are now up and running... looking forward to your next observations/project !
PS: a very basic thing to do it so use visualSpec (just open the spectral profile obtained from ISIS) to analyse your spectrum, compare with synthetic spectra (VisualSpec can generate some) or use the "Auto Plank" function to have a rough estimate of the star's temperature... well, just an idea...

Very fine spectrum!
The only small detected default concern response correction near 4100 A
(the sharp down in the internal tungsten spectral lamp profile
is difficult to manage - not too smooth response curve).

Thanks Robin.
Thanks Olivier, Visual spec is my next move.
Thanks, Christian. A question for you: Could this be caused by saturating the calibration image?
