Hi all,
I just released "JPGAC_Astrometry" a W64 local client for the webservice http://astrometry.net . This client works closely with your astronomical camera and your telescope mount!
From a captured starry field, you can get a "blind" astrometrical resolution [RA & Dec + annotations including HD catalog] (online or offline) and request an identified and labelled HD star to be put in the right place on your CCD.
"Blind" means without any hint!!
"JPGAC_Astrometry" accepts most formats of pictures including ".cpa [Prism] , ".pic" [Iris], ".CR2" [Canon], Fits (.fits,.fit,.fts),jpg,png,tiff,...
Integration with your favorite software (ie Prism) is easy.
Performances are compatible with on_field and/or remote usage. Hints produced by the ascom mount can fasten the resolution.
Its still a beta version and I will be happy to get your comments.
I will have a talk about JPGAC_Astrometry during next "Rencontres du ciel et de l'espace 2014" [aka RCE 2014] in Paris on 8 th of November.
last , "JPGAC_Astrometry" is a freeware
