Nova Men 2022 (AT 2022ufh)

Greetings all,

A nova for the 'southerners'. It's rising mid-evening, and I'm sure François will appreciate on-going observations.

A low resolution spectrum from tonight, with the nova low in the west.

Hi Keith,

Try removing the spaces from your folder names.

Alpy at f/3 ?

I have a friend who is considering buying an Alpy to attach to a small Riccardi-Honders telescope at f/3. I presume it will work, not withstanding the possibility of light loss due to vignetting ?

Any obvious issues ?

Re: ISIS Auto atmosphere problem

Thanks Gerard, That Dropbox folder is actually on a local disk (ISIS is reading and writing to a local disk, not to the cloud). I guess it could be worth trying a different location to see if it makes a difference, but it has worked for years this way - so I'm not convinced that is the problem. Paul

Re: TCP J18292290-1430460, mag 10 in Sct

A low resolution spectrum, flux calibrated using an average transformed V mag = 10.934 (from photometry acquired at the same time).

ISIS Auto atmosphere problem

I've used AOD successfully in the past, but in recent times I get an error reporting a missing file (see attached example). The issue seems somewhat intermittent.

Any advice gratefully received.
